When offering you a prescription the healthcare professional will ask you which pharmacy you will use to collect your medication. The prescription is then sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. If you are unsure which pharmacy you would like your prescription sent to reception will advise you on nearby pharmacies.
If you take medication on a regular basis you can order a repeat prescription by:
- Written request. Please post in the prescription box on the wall in reception.
- By post (see address on the ‘Contact us‘ page)
- Registering for online services
We do not accept telephone requests for repeat medication.
Repeat prescription requests take three working days to process.
We will post prescriptions to you only if supplied with a stamped addressed envelope. The tear-off slip attached to computer-prepared prescriptions may be used for re-ordering.
You can arrange for a pharmacy to collect your prescription and some pharmacies will deliver to housebound patients.
Your doctor will wish to review your treatment periodically and will either call you or ask you to attend surgery when this is necessary.
