FURTHER CLINICS
NEWLY REGISTERED PATIENTS
You will be asked to complete a questionnaire and make an appointment to see the health care assistant within two months of joining the practice.
NON-NHS EXAMINATIONS
Medical examinations for special purposes, eg elderly drivers, pre-employment and insurance companies etc must be booked in as an appointment. Please inform the receptionist if you are ringing to make an appointment for one of these reasons.
As these are non-NHS facilities, a fee will be payable; this will be in accordance with the recommended BMA fees of which a list is available in reception.
TRAVEL CLINIC
This Surgery offers a full range of travel advice and associated immunisations. Some of these incur a fee.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to fill out a Travel Planner which you can obtain from reception. It is important to do so at least6 weeksbefore you travel - as an appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because travel vaccination is not included in the services provided by the NHS and therefore is a chargeable service.
